Journal Ethics Policy The journal follows the Publication Ethics Guidelines approved by the Lithuanian University Rectors’ Conference (2019).

Publication Ethics

The journal adheres to the Publication Ethics Guidelines approved by the Rectors’ Conference of Lithuanian Universities (Publikavimo etikos gairės, 2019) and is committed to ensuring integrity, transparency, and accountability in scholarly publishing.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for the originality and authenticity of their submitted work. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

  • the article has been written by the listed author(s);
  • the manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere;
  • all sources have been properly cited;
  • the work does not contain plagiarized, fabricated, falsified, or otherwise unethical material;
  • any potential conflicts of interest have been disclosed.

The journal publishes only original research. Submission of substantially overlapping or previously published material is not permitted, except in cases where new work significantly expands earlier publications and proper disclosure is provided.

The deliberate fragmentation of a single study into multiple publications with the aim of increasing publication output is considered unethical.

All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research and manuscript preparation. Authors share collective responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the published work. After acceptance of the manuscript, changes in authorship or order of authors are not permitted.

Upon submission, authors are required to complete and sign an Author Declaration.

Copyright of published articles is guaranteed in accordance with Articles 4–37 of the Law on Copyright and Related Rights of the Republic of Lithuania.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, professionally, and impartially. They must maintain strict confidentiality and may not disclose or discuss the content of the manuscript without the publisher’s permission.

Reviewers are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest and to provide clear, reasoned recommendations regarding publication. Reviews should include constructive comments, identification of correctable shortcomings, and well-founded justification when recommending rejection.
